While some dissentient voices were heard against the concept of the parliamentary type of government , the overwhelming opinion was in favour of the Drafting Committee 's proposal and finally with the coming into force of the republican Constitution of independent India on 26 January 1950 , a full-fledged parliamentary system of government with a modern institutional framework and all its other ramifications was established . यद्यपि संसदीय शासन प्रणाली के विचार के विरूद्ध कुछ आवाजें सुनी गईं तथापि प्रारूप समिति के प्रस्ताव केपख में भारी बहुमत था और अंत में 26 जनवरी , 1950 को स्वतंत्र भारत के गणराज़्य का संविधान लागू हो जाने से , आधुनिक संस्थागत ढांचे और उसकी अन्य सब शाखा-प्रशाखाओं सहित पूर्ण संसदीय शासन प्रणाली स्थापित हो गई .
